Radiology

Radiology is the medical discipline that uses medical imaging to diagnose and treat diseases within the bodies of animals, including humans. A variety of imaging techniques such as X-ray radiography, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), nuclear medicine including positron emission tomography (PET), fluoroscopy, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are used to diagnose or treat diseases.

Pathology

It plays a crucial role in every aspect of patient care, from diagnostic testing and treatment planning to monitoring disease progression. Pathologists work closely with other medical specialists to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. Advances in technology have greatly enhanced the precision and scope of pathology, making it an indispensable part of modern medicine.

Operation Theatre

An operating theater is a facility within a hospital where surgical operations are carried out in an aseptic environment. Historically, the term "operating theatre" referred to a non-sterile, tiered theater or amphitheater in which students and other spectators could watch surgeons perform surgery. Contemporary operating rooms are devoid of a theatre setting, making the term "operating theater" a misnomer.

Dialysis

Dialysis is a treatment that filters and purifies the blood using a machine. This helps keep your fluids and electrolytes in balance when the kidneys can't do their job. Dialysis has been used since the 1940s to treat people with kidney problems.

ECG

An electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) records the electrical signal from your heart to check for different heart conditions. Electrodes are placed on your chest to record your heart's electrical signals, which cause your heart to beat.

EEG

An electroencephalogram (EEG) is a test that detects electrical activity in your brain using small, metal discs (electrodes) attached to your scalp. Your brain cells communicate via electrical impulses and are active all the time, even when you're asleep

USG

An ultrasound / sonography is a procedure that uses high-frequency sound waves to scan the internal organs of the body - woman's abdomen and pelvic cavity, the reproductive system and the fetus of a pregnant woman creating a picture (sonogram) of the baby and placenta.

Dental Assist

Dental assistants are members of the dental team. They may support a dental operator (such as a dentist or other treating dental auxiliary) in providing more efficient dental treatment. Dental assistants are distinguished from other groups of dental auxiliaries (such as dental therapists, dental hygienists and dental technicians) by differing training, roles and patient scopes.
